My name is Helen Tremeer and I graduated from the Three Ravens College of Therapeutic Shamanism in December, 2019. Therapeutic Shamanism ‘…combines shamanic practices with an understanding of modern psychology…’ and is now the container – or foundation – for all the other disciplines I’ve studied over the years (astrology, healing, flower essences and homeopathy).
My exploration of astrological symbolism began in the early 1990s, which led to my completing a creative astrology training course with psychotherapist, Sally Olsberg. I’ve continued to zig-zag my way through my astrological studies, looking for different perspectives to bring to my readings and teachings, most importantly, some study with Ingrid Naiman, looking at health and stress factors in the chart (which paved the way for the focus on healing which was to come – see below). My move to the South Lakes area coincided with discovering the work of Delcia McNeil and studying hands-on healing with the Rowan School (I completed my training in 2001). I offer hands-on healing as a volunteer through the Tara Centre in Lancaster as well as in my practice at home.
After attending a couple of flower essence workshops with Ian White (of the Australian Bush Flower Essences), I decided to study homeopathy with the Lakeland College of Homeopathy (I completed my training in 2005). Flower essences were a part of the curriculum in the Lakes and I’d been receiving homeopathic treatment and using this wonderful healing modality with my family for some years.
I am a full member of the ATH (Association for Therapeutic Healers), which involves writing up and reflecting upon my hours of CPPD (continuing personal and professional development) each year, but, to be honest, growing and learning are things I couldn’t live without whether ‘mandated’ or not! I also coordinate the ATH distant healing group which offers free distant healing by request.
